Covid impacted the world in so many ways - but this post is not about that - its an important shout out to Herald and our amazing production team. Seychelles being a little of the beaten track one of the knock on effects was that supply to the island was serious disrupted. One thing that was needed and just not available - was hand sanitiser! We had alcohol and found the recommended formula from the WHO and cracked on.

Our plan was never to get into retailing hand sanitiser but we recognized that it was bus drivers, the clinics, the police, the schools and many more organizations - all of these amazing people across the islands that were working hard to keep everything going and we wanted to play our part. So it was easy - we donated over 30% of our total production for free and for the rest - charged at cost….

We sold a bit in shops - but generally we offered it in bulk - refilling containers so that these organizations could top up their dispensers and keep everyone safe. Of course - an important shout out to all those that worked through the pandemic - but from our end - as a small distillery - this was no easy thing - and Herald and his team continue to put in the extra hours to ensure hand sanitiser is not something that eats into the budgets of these key organizations.
